No, Ketamine & Ascending Wellness does not accept insurance. However, we are committed to working with you on payment options to ensure that you can access the care you need.

Yes, we strongly recommend that you arrange for someone to accompany you to and from your therapy session. Driving under the influence of Ketamine is illegal, and for your safety, it is important not to drive for at least 12 hours following your IV therapy.

This precaution helps ensure that you fully recover from any temporary effects of the therapy before resuming normal activities. Having a trusted friend or family member with you can also provide emotional support during your session.

We do not recommend returning to work immediately after your session. After the first few infusion therapies, you will better understand how Ketamine affects your mind and body, allowing you to plan accordingly.

Our team at Ketamine & Ascending Wellness is highly experienced, with over 25 years of combined expertise in managing challenging IV cases. We understand that some patients have veins that are harder to access, and we employ specialized techniques and equipment to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.

Our compassionate staff is trained to make the process as stress-free as possible, utilizing advanced tools and methods to minimize discomfort and enhance your overall therapy experience.

Yes, fasting is an important part of preparing for your Ketamine therapy session. We recommend that you refrain from eating solid foods for at least 6 hours before your appointment to ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of nausea during the session.

However, you may continue to consume clear liquids, such as water or tea, up to 2 hours before your therapy. This preparation helps your body respond more effectively to the treatment and ensures a smoother session.

Absolutely! Listening to music can be a powerful tool to enhance your therapy experience. We encourage patients to bring their own noise-canceling headphones and a playlist of soothing or meaningful music.

Music can help create a calm and immersive environment, promoting relaxation and focus during the session. Sensory deprivation through noise-canceling headphones can also enhance the therapeutic effects of Ketamine by reducing external distractions and allowing you to fully engage with the experience.

At Ketamine & Ascending Wellness, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. During your therapy session, we continuously monitor key vital signs, including your heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and respiratory rate. We also use EKG monitoring to track your heart’s electrical activity and assess your mental status and mood throughout the session.

This comprehensive monitoring ensures that any changes in your physiological or psychological state are promptly addressed, allowing us to provide immediate support and adjustments as needed.

Side effects may include slight elevation in blood pressure and heart rate, a floating sensation of well-being, occasional nausea (which we can treat), changes in visual and auditory perceptions, and feelings of detachment from yourself and your environment. Our team will guide you through any side effects you may experience.

No, Ketamine Infusion Therapy is not intended to replace your current antidepressants or other mental health medications. Instead, it acts as an adjunct therapy, complementing your existing treatment plan. Ketamine works through a different mechanism than traditional antidepressants, often providing rapid relief from depressive symptoms.

However, it is important to continue your prescribed medications unless advised otherwise by your healthcare provider. Together, these treatments can offer a more comprehensive approach to managing depression and enhancing your overall mental health.

Preparing for your Ketamine therapy session involves more than just fasting. We recommend approaching the session with a positive, open mindset to maximize its benefits.

Avoid consuming negative media, such as distressing news or social media, in the hours leading up to your appointment. Instead, focus on activities that promote relaxation and positivity, such as meditation, gentle exercise, or reading.

Arrive at your session ready to engage with the experience, which can enhance the therapy’s effectiveness and contribute to your overall well-being.

Our therapy protocol consists of six sessions spread over 14 to 21 days. After the initial phase, patients may choose maintenance therapy, typically occurring every 3-4 weeks. The frequency of maintenance sessions varies based on individual needs, which become clearer as treatment progresses.

Mood therapy sessions last 45 minutes, but we recommend patients budget 75 minutes to relax afterward. Pain management sessions may require 2-4 hours, depending on the treatment administered.

During your Ketamine session, you may experience a unique sensation often described as a floating, calm state. Ketamine induces a dissociative effect, leading to an “out-of-body experience” where you feel detached from the physical world.

This sensation can be both profound and therapeutic, helping you gain new perspectives on your thoughts and emotions. Many patients report feelings of tranquility and clarity during their sessions, making Ketamine a valuable tool in their mental health journey.

While most medications are safe to use alongside Ketamine, some may interact with its effects. For instance, medications like lamotrigine and benzodiazepines (such as Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, and Ativan) may reduce the effectiveness of Ketamine therapy.

Before starting treatment, your provider will review your current medications and advise you on any necessary adjustments to ensure the best outcomes. It is important to disclose all medications and supplements you are taking to your healthcare team to optimize your therapy experience.

Certain medical conditions may preclude you from undergoing Ketamine therapy due to potential risks. These include uncontrolled hypertension, liver or kidney disease, and specific neurological conditions.

A thorough medical evaluation is conducted before starting treatment to assess your suitability for Ketamine therapy.

Our priority is to ensure your safety and well-being, and we work closely with you to determine the best treatment options based on your unique health profile.
